Urban Erasure and Collective Memory

2024

What is permitted to disappear and what is preserved? Which histories and memories are erased and which are immortalized? How can archiving collective memory resist dispossession? In this work, I investigate the forces that perpetuate urban erasure, and explore how archiving collective memory can serve as a form of resistance.
